ICT ACQUIRES PART OF HARMAN BECKER IN HILDESHEIM

ICT Automatisering NV (ICT) announces that, as per 1 November 2009, it will take over 34 employees of Harman Becker Automotive Systems GmbH (Harman Becker) at the company’s operation in Hildesheim.

These new employees are a significant boost to ICT’s infotainment competencies on the German automotive market, as well as to its project management competencies in general. Harman Becker is issuing a work guarantee for more than 1.5 years, while ICT will also become a strategic partner in the field of the infotainment software development activities which, up until now, were carried out in Hildesheim by Harman Becker. This move is in line with ICT’s strategy aimed at growth in Germany, as well as expansion of its competencies in the field of project execution.

Harman Becker is a global leading company in the field of the development, production and sale of infotainment systems for the automotive industry and other electronic products and systems. The company booked turnover of EUR 1.34 billion in the 2008 financial year and has a staff of more than 3,600. At its Hildesheim location, Harman Becker’s operations include activities in the fields of navigation and online services. More specifically, the location develops generic and client-specific adaptations and integration of navigation software, online browsers and telematica applications for infotainment systems.
