ICT Automatisering: Advanced Thinking
was established in 1978 and – to avoid any misunderstandings from the start – stands for Industrial Computer Applications. The name refers to our first area of activity, embedded software, an area in which we are the market leader.
Today the ICT Group consists of four divisions: ICT Embedded, ICT Solutions and ICT Consultancy und ICT Deutschland. We have not only broadened our area of activities, but have also grown to become a publicly traded company employing 1000 people, which means that we are one of the largest independent Dutch software developers. We are proud of this track record and leadership position but do not plan to sit back and relax anytime soon, as we are still quite ambitious. After all, the world in which we operate is a very dynamic one in which the advanced solutions that we offer continue to play an increasingly important role. It should therefore come as no surprise that we are still continually seeking to push back borders. Sometimes we do so quite literally: we are presently active in Germany, where we have acquired an interest in two large players on the market for embedded software, as well as in Poland.
Our motto is Advanced Thinking, as our core strength and value-added proposition is based on thinking up advanced solutions with which we can create added value for the products and processes of our clients. These range from complex embedded systems to complex automated technological solutions for managing and controlling business processes. Examples of applications to which we contribute include high-tech medical equipment, digital TV, auto navigation systems, traffic & transport systems, voice over IP, and infrastructural applications - to name just a few.
